BOLIVIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY FIESTA

Bolivian Sydneysiders acknowledged their heritage, celebrating the country's Independence Day (6th August) with a gala event featuring traditional dancing performed by the Tarabucos Juniors and Andean music by Surkuy. Wetherill Park Community Centre cooked up a storm of salsa with Caliente La Banda and JC Disco kept the party goers dancing till early Sunday morning. The colourful spectacle of Bolivian costume and the enthusiasm of the guests ensured a lively night -typical characteristics of a fun loving culture that Bolivia offers our wider community.
