With a total of 336 crew on board, 72 trainee seamen will undergo naval training. Boasting 29 sails, the "Esmeralda" can travel up to 17.5 knots on sails alone, is 113 metres long and its highest mast reaches 48.5 metres. With 10 nations on the itinerary, the crew will spend 7 months on the high seas (Jun to Dec 02). Her next stop is Bali - a 2.5 week sail from Sydney
